Everything a study session needs

Purpose-built for structured study — not a generic countdown clock.

Live finish-time ETA

A bar that sums your remaining tasks and tells you "done at 4:15 PM." Know when to stop procrastinating and when to take a real break.

Subject tabs

Each subject is a saved tab with its own task list and settings. Switch between Maths and History without losing your place.

Auto-advance

When the timer hits zero, the next task starts automatically. No temptation to "just check" your phone between tasks.

Text-to-speech cues

"Starting Past paper Q1–Q8 for 40 minutes." Hear each task announced so you stay heads-down without watching the clock.

Session streaks

Track consecutive days you complete a full session. The streak counter makes showing up feel rewarding even before you open the books.

Per-session stats

Time logged per subject, sessions completed, total hours this week. A quick reminder that the work is adding up.

Warning threshold

Set a warning at 5 minutes remaining and the timer pulses red. A heads-up to start wrapping up the current task.

Install as a PWA

Add to your home screen on any device. Your saved sessions are always there, no login required.

"I used to waste 10 minutes figuring out whether I had time to finish a chapter before dinner. The ETA bar solved that completely — I can see exactly what I can fit in."

What makes it different from a Pomodoro timer

Pomodoro timers are great for one thing. TimeTally is built for the full session — multiple subjects, variable task lengths, and a real answer to "when will I be done?"

Common questions

How does the ETA bar work? +

TimeTally adds up the remaining time for every task in your current list and calculates a finish time — for example, "done at 4:15 PM." It updates live as tasks complete, so you always know exactly when your session will end.

Does TimeTally work on my phone while studying? +

Yes. TimeTally is a PWA — install it directly from your browser without going through an app store. It works on any phone or tablet, and your task lists are always available without logging in.

Can I have separate timers for different subjects? +

Yes. Each browser tab can hold a named list — Biology, Maths, Chemistry — with its own task list, settings, and streak count. Switch between subjects by switching tabs. Your progress in each is tracked independently.

Does it track study streaks? +

Yes. TimeTally tracks your current streak and best streak per subject list. Complete at least one full session each day to keep your streak going. Streaks are visible in the Stats screen for each list.

What if I want to change the task order mid-session? +

You can edit any task name or duration at any time — even while the timer is running. The ETA bar updates immediately to reflect the change. Tap any task to edit it inline.

Will my task lists be saved if I close the browser? +

Yes. TimeTally saves everything in your browser's local storage — no account needed. Your lists, settings, and streak data are automatically restored each time you open the app.
